How is the Chevy Blazer powered?

With three available engine options, all coming standard with a high-tech, slick-shifting, 9-speed automatic transmission:

• A 3.6L V6 engine, standard on RS and available on 2LT, 3LT and
  Premier, generates 308 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque,
  with an EPA-estimated 20 MPG city/27 highway. With available
  trailering equipment, this engine can tow up to 4,500 lbs.
• A 2.0L Turbo, standard on 2LT, 3LT, and Premier, creates 227 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, with an EPA-estimated 22 MPG city/29 highway.
• A 2.5L engine, standard on L and 1LT, offers 193 horsepower and 188 lb.-ft. of torque, with an EPA-estimated 21 MPG city/27 highway

How is it on the road?

Be prepared to champion any road with the Driver Mode Selector dial, with five available modes designed to handle any road or surface condition.

• Tour: A mode meant for day-to-day driving, only the front wheels are powered on all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicles for improved fuel economy.
• AWD: Also known as Snow/Ice mode on front wheel drive (FWD) models, this mode offers better control in snow or icy conditions by increasing traction and power sent to the wheels.
• Sport: This mode increases steering effort for a more connected feeling with the road, while also adjusting the transmission to have faster shift times and more available power.
• Off-Road: Only available on AWD models, this mode distributes the optimal amount of power and torque to each of the four wheels for ideal performance on loose gravel or dirt.
• Tow/Haul: Only available on models equipped with the 3.6L engine and towing package. This mode adjusts transmission shift timing in order to maximize torque in each gear to assist in hauling a trailer.

If more speed is what you need, opt for the RS model, which features an available Advanced Twin-Clutch transmission and AWD system, which allows for torque to be delivered independently to each rear wheel. This advanced mode optimizes performance on both wet and dry surfaces, enhancing the sporty feel of the 2021 Blazer and providing peace of mind with every drive.

Enhancing safety in wet conditions, activating the windshield wipers automatically activates the standard equipped Auto-Dry Brakes feature. Positioning the brake pads slightly closer to the rotors helps wick away moisture and improves braking performance and stop times. All 2021 Blazers come standard with disc brakes on the front and rear, sporting large Duralife rotors and a 4-channel anti-lock braking system.
